Big Brother 19 is the nineteenth season of the American reality television series Big Brother. It is based on the Dutch series of the same name. The season premiered on June 28, 2017 at CBS in the United States with a two-hour season premiere and Julie Chen returned as host. This season is entitled "Summer of Temptation" with various contestants who are able to accept the temptation of giving surprise gifts or gaming benefits to the prize takers, but also issuing game changes for one or more other players. Viewers at home can choose to offer selected players selected as a secret lure. The weekly opt-in competition, known as the Temptation Challenge, will grant the winning immunity from the week's nominations but also put the last finisher on the block as the third nominee, able to compete in the weekly Veto Competition and avoid backdoor nominations.
On September 20, 2017, Josh Martinez won the match in 5-4 voices against back Brother Pauler's runner-up Paul Brahamian, earning the latter the difference as the first man to lose in Final 2 the jury voted twice.

The special episode aired on July 21st to show a "Battle Back Showdown" in which one of the first 4 HouseGuests evicted to compete to reenter the Big Brother House.
Gift
The HouseGuests will compete for a $ 500,000 grand prize. Various cash prizes can be offered as "temptation" during the season. Kevin Schlehuber was awarded $ 25,000 on the premiere episode. The second cash temptation of the season is also claimed by Kevin; This time, the amount is smaller than $ 27.
Twists
Changes to the main format known as bends occur during the season that will affect the life of HouseGuests during their time in the House. The curves for this season revolve around the temptation theme where HouseGuests will be tempted with money, power, or security during their stay. But every temptation will come with consequences that will impact the whole House. The overall touch is being billed by the program as "The Summer of Temptation" for this reason.
Standard Temptations
During the inaugural season HouseGuests presented with the first temptation of the season, where every new HouseGuest has a chance to win $ 25,000 silently. Kevin Schlehuber is the fastest to claim the prize money, resulting in two different consequences. The first consequence is personal: Kevin is not allowed to win the first Chief House competition; to keep his victory a secret, he must throw (deliberately lose) the competition.
The second consequence of releasing major changes in the House is called "BB Swap." This resulted in Paul Abrahamian, runner-up from the previous season, entering the House as a full HouseGuest who qualified to win by taking the original HouseGuest place. Shortly after entering Paul were given nine friendly bracelets that gave immunity from the first evictions. Paul was instructed to take one for himself and give him eight remaining friendship bracelets to HouseGuests who did a good job of teasing him. The remaining eight HouseGuests took part in the competition for salvation which resulted in Cameron, Natal, and Jillian being nominated for eviction. All three nominations are given the power to choose how their fate will be determined. The nominees have the choice of competition or voting of eviction of the house. Only Cameron chose to compete; Shortly after, HouseGuests chose to oust Cameron from the House.
The following temptations will occur during the second HoH Week 1 competition. During the competition, a golden apple emerges that will ensure safety for the person who reaches it, but will eliminate the team from the competition. Josh takes the temptation, removing his team from the HoH competition. In the Veto Week 1 Power Competition, the first HouseGuest to find a golden starfish and place it on their shelves will get a Never-Not pass, meaning they can not become a Have-Not for the rest of the season with the consequences of losing themselves from the competition. Raven took the temptation.
Showdown Battle
Instead of permanent evictions, the first four evicted HouseGuests received the opportunity to return to the game. Unlike last season, this fight is done in a playoff style. They will participate in 3-Round-Battle to get their place back at home. The first competition "Maze Race" will eliminate the two bottom players, permanently removing them from the game. Dominique and Jillian compete with Cody and Cameron respectively; The second rivalry between Cody and Cameron determines that the first four HouseGuest evicted will be the last to stand and fight one of HouseGuests at home for a chance to return home. If the evicted HouseGuest wins against current HouseGuest, the rest of the evictions will have a second chance to reenter the house. But if HouseGuest is currently defeating evictions again, no one will return home effectively blocking the Battle Back. HouseGuests unanimously voted to choose Paul to battle with Cody in the final competition. Cody chose "Maze Race" as the final competition. Cody wins and re-enters home on Day 30. All three dueles aired in a special episode on July 21st.
Den of Temptation
During the first three weeks of the season, the public sees will choose HouseGuest of their choice to secretly enter a room called the Den of Temptation. The temptation inside the hive can provide an advantage in the game but will come with consequences that may affect one or more HouseGuests. Selected public HouseGuest may choose to accept the temptation or reject it completely. Each HouseGuest can only be selected to enter the room once during their time in the House. HouseGuest vote and decision results will be displayed during the primetime episode Sunday.
Competition Temptation
Because Jessica received the last temptation, "Temptation Competition" was released for the next 3 weeks. Prior to the nomination, HouseGuests (except for the current Chief House) will be able to decide whether they want to compete in this competition or not. The winner of the "Temptation Competition" will receive immunity for a week, however, the last HouseGuest in the competition will automatically be nominated as the 3rd nominee.
Tree of Temptation
After the expulsion of Cody and Elena, Julie revealed a new twist to the game that unleashed 5 possible temptations for HouseGuests to vote for the next 3 weeks. These temptations include strength and punishment. When the apple tree turns red, the first HouseGuest that enters the diary space can claim the temptation of the apple tree. Once HouseGuest claims the apple, they are not eligible for other temptations. The result of choosing an apple includes, rescues a friend, can not play in the next HOH, second veto, gift in your head, and eliminates two eviction voices.

HouseGuests
The HouseGuests was announced on Monday, June 19 at 6 am PDT through the CBS website. Interviews with the players were released on 8 AM PDT on CBS All Access.
Future appearance
Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson took place in the 30th season of The Amazing Race where they went to win, making them the difference as the first Big Brother alumni who won The Amazing Race . Paul Abrahamian also appeared alongside Graf and Nickson when the three made a cameo appearance in the inaugural series Celebrity Big Brother during the first HoH competition of the season.
Summary
Have-Nots
Paul Abrahamian received criticism of his contemptuous contempt for another HouseGuest. On Sunday 3, he targets Dominique Cooper for eviction and decides to apply black-skinned cosmetics and clothing that resembles snake skin, in terms of the metaphors he uses in an attempt to expose his strategy to other HouseGuests. Given that Cooper is an African-American, Abrahamian actions are considered racist when he refers to cosmetics as a "black face".
Viewers also argue about the tactics of the suppression alleged by Abrahamian, in which he encouraged other HouseGuests to be hostile to "outcasts" in the House, especially allied performances of Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson. Some important incidents include Christmas Abbott spreading aspersi on Nickson's military service, and Alex Ow and Raven Walton engaged in verbal arguments with Graf. Likewise, a physical confrontation almost occurred between Josh Martinez and Mark Jansen (who defended Nickson and was annoyed with Martinez's frying shtick) and between Nickson and Abrahamian (who disrespectfully silenced the Graf while in HoH space).
Some fans also consider the release of Megan Lowder on Day 8 as a result of bullying. During a conversation in the backyard, Lowder believes he heard Graf refer to Ow as a panda, who is considered Lowder racist because of his Asian connotations. However, Graf actually says "Pao Pao," which alludes to the nickname of Big Brother 16 HouseGuest Paola Shea, among whom Ow reminds Graf as they are both Asian Americans. After being notified of the comments by Lowder, Ow clarified the matter with Graf but they both then assumed that Lowder had fabricated comments for game-related purposes, encouraging them to deal with it. Lowder felt overwhelmed by the confrontation and retreated to the Daily Room where he raised the history of post traumatic stress disorder with the show producer. Concerned with his mental health, Production made a decision along with Lowder that it would be better for him to leave home and get out of the game.
Viewers requested the expulsion of Jason Dent from the House after he was caught doing rape and harassment jokes in front of other HouseGuests. In one instance, Dent commented on having sex with Kevin Schlehuber's wife, Deborah, while all their daughters would be tied up and forced to watch acting. In an interview with TMZ, Deborah said that Dent's comments were disturbing and "the worst thing she ever saw." On Twitter, the Dent family apologized for the comments but stated that they were taken out of context, which Deborah doubted because she believed her husband would never joke like that about anyone in any situation. Dent also made similar jokes earlier in the competition, such as suggesting to hold Walton and having the men's HouseGuests "take turns" to him, and once telling the police about female sexual assault in a nursing home.
Dent and Nickson triggered reactions after recording comments considered transphobic depicted on live feeds. During a conversation in the hot tub, Graf informs Dent and Nickson about Audrey Middleton from Big Brother 17 as the first transgender contestant in show history. Nickson went on to mock the identity of Middleton's gender, for whom Dent was also confused about the appropriate pronoun. Middleton discusses controversy through Twitter posts, urging people not to vilify male HouseGuests, but instead educating them on the value of emotional intelligence. Nickson was also criticized for using the term "tranny" which degraded several times before in the game.
Walton's lies in the House of Representatives became a heated debate among fans throughout the season. He often speaks of the suffering of gastroparesis (GP), in which he makes some inaccurate or false statements, including the nature of his descendants, the effects of sterility, and the terminal prognosis. Even before joining the show, Walton has formed a GoFundMe campaign for his treatment, which some skeptical fans consider to be a fraud. Schlehuber also told Walton asking viewers for money in front of the camera. GP and other organizations such as Gastroparesis Patient Association for Cures and Treatment have denied his claims about the severity of his illness, while a large number of fans have condemned them as feigning illness. However, Walton's mother and doctor took him to social media to combat Walton's criticism. Walton also claims that he and his mother are members of Mensa but their name is not proven to be found in the current organization directory.
Some HouseGuests, especially Graf, attract controversy for certain inappropriate actions in the House. Records on live feeds show Graf making contact with some HouseGuests in their "private area" by joking without prior approval. When confronted, Graf dismissed allegations of errors such as sexual harassment or privacy violations. Ironically, the Graf's behavior incites other HouseGuests such as Abrahamian, Matthew Clines, Ramses Soto, and Elena Davies to take part in the same action against HouseGuests of the same and opposite sex. In one episode of the show, Ow told Martinez how much "touch" at Home, especially his experience with Graf, made him uncomfortable for reminding his cousin who had been raped and killed.
