The album was released in July 1992 as the second single from her debut album that sold multi-platinum, Some Gave All . The song reached number 2 in the U.S. Hot Country Singles & amp; The song diagram, behind "Love's Got a Hold on You" by Alan Jackson and it also reached number one on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks chart. It was a follow up of song number 1, "Achy Breaky Heart".

The music video was directed by Marc Ball and Kitty Moon, and aired in mid 1992, the song will be used in 1992, the episode of Austin City Limits Season 17 Albert Collins was followed by Danny Gatton when the song was played during the cover credits instead of the theme song < i> London Homesick Blues .
