" How Long " is a 1974 song by the Ace English group of their Five-A-Side album. It reached No. 3 on the US and Canadian charts, and No. 20 on the UK Singles Chart.
Although widely interpreted as about adultery, the song was actually composed by vocalist Paul Carrack after discovering that bassist Terry Comer has been secretly working with Sutherland Brothers and Quiver. Comer returned to Ace in time to play on the song.
Solo guitar is by Alan "Bam" King.
