Pune is a city in West India, in the state of Maharashtra and about 160 km east of Mumbai. It is located about 3 miles along the river. The heart of the city is much older than the rest of the city. The path is winding, many of which follow the natural slopes of the mountains and end up in the rivers that feed the city. As the city grew unevenly, a large number of roads were built around the central part of the city, including the main highway that connects the city to other parts of the country.

Several highways connecting the city are maintained by the State of Maharashtra and are the State Highway. Pune is also connected with two National Roads, NH50 and NH4.
