Ian Ward
Ian Ward , played by Ray Wise, made her first appearance on January 23, 2014, as a former sect leader, believed to be the biological father of Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) and former lover Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Wise's immersion in a recurring role was announced in December 2013. The character was scheduled to "play an integral part in the lives of some Genoese City citizens". Michael Fairman of On-Air Soaps wrote it, "Now this is really a good casting if you see Ray Wise's eyes and Steve Burton!", And also asks if the "can be the next" character Mitch Laurence during the day. "Jillian Bowe of Zap2it writes that" Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Dylan (Steve Burton) will soon be having another family reunion in Genoa City. "Soap Opera Digest describes Ian as" leader of the charismatic cult who seduced a teenager Nikki, which resulted in his son never knowing him (Dylan). Ian arrived in Genoa City unexpectedly after being told by his colleagues that two people were looking for him in Indiana. He surprises Nikki by showing up at his house and he immediately tells her to leave before slapping her twice; he is surprised that Nikki never told him that he was the father of a child with him. She then introduces herself to Dylan, who does not like her in town. Ian then overhears Summer Newman (Hunter King) talking about his confusion about his future, and he gives him a business card for The Path, today's version of his cult. He then convinces him to start counseling with her, but Nikki and Summer Nicholas Newman's father (Joshua Morrow) is able to stop her from scamming Summer. Dylan then confronts Ian and asks why he should not kill him, where he claims to have a secret. Ian was arrested and his case was taken by Leslie Michaelson (Angell Conwell), resulting in controversy. Later, Dylan and Nikki's husband, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) works to get Ian out of town, contacting his ex-wife, Willah, who later reveals that Ian can not be the father of children. Leslie also violates the client/lawyer clause clause by revealing her secrets. This caused Nikki to realize that Ian had never been Dylan's father and that his lover at the time, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), was. Ian defends himself by saying that when Nikki says that he is Dylan's father, he decides to come to town and follow his assumptions. He also threatened to report Leslie for revealing his secret if he did not file a lawsuit against Nikki. The lawsuit finally took place and went to court, where Nikki was forced to read the diary he kept while in Ian's cult.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), who has been shown to have been associated with Ian somehow, later revealed to be the son of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Cassie Newman's twin sister stolen from birth by Ian. After Mariah reveals that she has become a father figure throughout her life, Ian then kidnaps her, drinks it and marries her while she is under the influence of drugs. Ian escapes the arrest, and the remaining Dylan looks suspicious in what's happening to him. He was later arrested for Ian's murder, but Paul revealed that he knew Dylan was innocent and Ian was alive. He asked for help from him and Nikki to lure Ian back to Genoa City. Nikki manages to get Ian into the hotel room, where he is finally arrested, and Dylan is released from all charges.
Ian returned to Genoa City in 2015, revealing he escaped from prison and was working on a secret project with Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) to bring down Victor and Newman Enterprises, Paragon. Adam, at the time, had assumed Gabriel Bingham's identity but had revealed his true identity to Ian. This project was a computer virus created by Ian to destroy Newman Enterprises computer systems, but Adam soon began to have doubts about the long-term consequences of their project. Meanwhile, Ian met with Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) and assured him that he was a fisherman named Fred, when Phyllis was out of town in a coma when Ian was first in Genoa City and did not know who he really was. She tries to get her husband Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to meet him, but Ian always disappears to hide his true identity when Phyllis arrives with Jack. The summer later tells Phyllis to be involved with "Fred" in the park and immediately tells his mother of who he really is and what he has done to the people of Genoa City. Victor soon learns that Ian got out of jail and reported the situation, only to find Ian in the prison where he was while visiting the prison with Nikki. On Halloween, the fire is set to the tower of Newman Enterprises and Ian is revealed as the person who started it. After nearly everyone was evacuated from the building, Ian met Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), who had escaped from a mental hospital and convinced her to run away with him.
Ian and Patty are next seen in the motel room, with her telling her that she should pick a new name if she will continue with him. Victor and Phyllis soon arrived at his motel room, after tracking him down. Victor holds Phyllis in his throat and threatens to kill him if he does not evacuate and stop Paragon. Ian, sadly, agrees to do it. A month later, Patty was found by the police, after living on the streets after Ian dumped her.

Mark Harding
Detective Mark Harding , played by Chris McKenna, made his first appearance on February 17, 2014. McKenna, known for his role as Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live, announces casting on the site Twitter social media on January 17th. According to the actor, the role is expected to take place for "several episodes". The casting was later officially confirmed by a spokesman for the series on January 21. McKenna recorded her first scene on January 22nd. The character is scheduled to "appear during an exciting event that will bring some residents of Genoa City together."
Austin Travers
Austin Travers, played by Matthew Atkinson, made his first appearance on April 17, 2014. Atkinson's appearance in a recurring role was announced in March, scheduled to become a cameraman working with Avery Bailey Clark (Jessica Collins). Jamey Giddens from Zap2it writes that this series "improves intelligence" by hiring Atkinson. In an interview with On-Air On-Soaps before his debut, Atkinson revealed that Austin will also be involved in the storyline with Summer Newman (Hunter King).
Austin debuts as a cameraman, working with Avery on his new online cooking show. After the first episode is posted, an unknown person starts posting rude and suspicious comments, under the screen name "4MJ". Avery suspects Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is behind him, despite denying it. Austin then meets Summer Newman and gets smitten with him, and they start dating. It was later revealed that Austin was an unknown person who posted comments, and he then kidnapped Avery and made him confess to release the man who killed his mother several years earlier. Avery boyfriend Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton) rushed to save him, despite warnings from police chief Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). After Dylan arrives and Austin pulls a gun, Dylan tackles him when Paul and the police arrive. Austin fired a gun and Paul was shot, leaving him in critical condition. Austin runs away and continues to run, where Summer insists on accompanying him. The police pursue him, but Austin can leave Summer and return to Genoa City to surrender. Summer then insisted on finding a lawyer to represent him, even asking Avery to do it. Leslie Michaelson (Angell Conwell) took the case and Summer won it. Later, he suggested that they marry, which they do, surprise all those beloved Summer who believe Austin will be punished. At his trial, all that was given to him was a fine to pay, which Summer paid from his trust fund. They continued their marriage when the tension around their union began to rise. Tensions increased rapidly as the United States became increasingly jealous as Austin built a friendship with Cassie's twin brother, Mariah Copeland, whom he disliked most. When Summer's mother returned from her coma, Summer introduced Austin as her friend, annoying Austin with Summer claiming that doctors required her family not to provide surprising or surprising information to Phyllis. Soon after, Phyllis learns from Summer that the two are "engaged" which makes her angry. Phyllis became even more angry when she found out that the two were married and Austin was a villain. When Phyllis saw their relationship begin to develop, Phyllis agreed to abate, allowing the couple to be together. The month after it was revealed to Summer that Sharon switched on her paternity, Summer and Austin once again faced a relationship problem, when Summer learned that Mariah kissed Austin. Abby Newman invites Summer, Austin, Mariah, Kevin Fisher, Fenmore Baldwin, Noah Newman, and Courtney Sloane to Abbott Cabin. After Fenmore pierced Abby's blow, everyone fell asleep. After the group wakes up, they find Austin missing and, while discussing the possibility of his existence, Austin falls out of the closet and Courtney declares him dead.
Barton Shelby
Barton Shelby is played by Terrell Tilford, making his first appearance on June 13, 2014. The casting call for a role released in April described him as "an African-American doctor in his late 30s to early 40s, handsome, intelligent, and highly skilled surgeon ". Tilford's appearance in a recurring role was then announced in May, which is scheduled to be the new husband of Leslie Michaelson (Angell Conwell) whom he met online. After the news of Tilford's battle, Jillian Bowe of Zap2it wrote, "So many of my ideas about Nate Jr became Leslie's secret husband in 'The Young and the Restless.'
Shortly after deciding his engagement to Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), Leslie revealed that she met a doctor named Barton Shelby on an online dating site, and they later decided to get married. After a long period of unseen, Barton debuted as a surgeon at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.
Joe Clark
Joe Clark , described by Scott Elrod, made his first appearance in October 2014, as Avery Bailey Clark's ex-husband (Jessica Collins). Avery betrayed Joe with Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton), which led to the end of their marriage. Elrod, who joined The Young and the Restless as a regular, was previously known for his role in the Argo feature (2012) and the Men in Trees television series A spokesperson for the soap opera stated that "Viewers can expect Joe to have more than a few tricks on his arm as he crosses paths with some key 'Y & amp; R' characters." Joe Clark arrived in Genoa City from Chicago and was first seen at the Crimson Lights, and immediately caught Mariah Copeland's attention. He also went to Genoa City Athletic Club (GCAC), where he was noticed by Lauren Fenmore Baldwin. Joe goes to the apartment of his ex-wife Avery and they talk about their past and present, he tells him that he has no bitterness because of his affair with Dylan McAvoy. Joe tells Avery that he's in town in a real estate deal for his investors, but he'll only be in town for a short time. Joe is then seen in the Crimson Lights and he meets Avery again. Avery looked annoyed, so he tried to comfort her. Avery questioned why he was still in town, and he said his efforts took longer to finish than he originally thought.
It was revealed that Joe was employed by someone to get the property that is currently used by Crimson Lights. Joe went to GCAC and ran to Cane Ashby and his wife, Lily. It reveals that Cane and Joe are business associates and work together on a joint real estate deal when Cane works at the Chancellor of Industry. Lily was impressed by Joe's charm and charisma, but also suspicious and felt that Joe was manipulative. Cane recommends Michael Baldwin and Joe defend Michael as his lawyer in his real estate deal without realizing that Michael is his ex-wife's new business partner. Avery is suspicious when he finds out that Joe is a new client of Michael, but Joe assures Avery that it is a strict coincidence and business. Joe also met Dylan in person for the first time and civilly convinced Dylan that he did not have the bad feelings of Dylan's relationship with Joe's wife. Dylan does not believe in Joe and starts questioning Avery's devotion to their relationship and feels he still has feelings for Joe. He started buying property in the Genoa City warehouse district for his quiet master. These include Crimson Lights, owned by Dylan, and create a media frenzy, led by Dylan and Avery, from residents who oppose Joe's project. He says his project is to improve the area but Dylan feels Joe is doing this in retaliation because Dylan steals Avery away from Joe. Things escalated between Dylan and Joe and Dylan hit him.
Joe goes to a meeting with Michael, who leaves, and runs to Avery and they kiss. Avery tells Joe it can not happen again and that he's engaged to Dylan. Joe congratulates her and then congratulates Dylan too. Then Joe confesses to Avery that he wants her back but he says that he wants to marry Dylan. The increasingly frustrated Dylan asks his father's police chief, Paul Williams, to investigate Joe, but Paul does not find anything incriminating. Joe ran to Ashley Abbott, his daughter Abby Newman, and Stitch Rayburn in Jabot and revealed Joe and Ashley know each other in New York. It implies that Joe and Ashley also have a love story. Joe asks Ashley to be her date at New Year's party at GCAC and she accepts. At GCAC parties Dylan and Avery run to Joe and Ashley and Avery look jealous that Joe has another woman in his life. Joe set up presentations at GCAC to the business community to showcase his project and develop his business plan. Kevin Fisher discovers that the parent company, Gerolamo Limited, which owns the warehouse district property and Kevin tells Avery and Dylan. Dylan confronts Joe at his presentation and reveals that Joe's quiet master is Dylan's stepfather Victor Newman. Dylan and his mother, Nikki Newman, face Victor and Dylan again trying to attack Joe. Then Joe asks Victor if he will step down from the deal and Victor replies that he never backed out of the deal.
After Dylan and Avery broke up, Joe continued to move toward her, wanting to reunite. On one occasion, Avery accidentally pushed Joe into the balcony of his apartment when he tried to kiss her; he survived with minor injuries. Soon after, Avery was raped in the alley and insisted that Joe was the one who attacked and raped her. Joe tells Avery and the police that he does not attack him, physically or sexually, and the Genoa City police then find evidence that Avery is attacked by a group of people, none of which is Joe. Avery, feeling lost and at a crossroads in his private life, then left town to find himself, upset Joe. He then starts an affair with Lily, angering Cane. Lily initially throws herself at Joe because she believes Cane is having an affair with Lauren, when all the Cane and Lauren share is a kiss. Lily continues to sleep with Joe to tackle Cane after their marriage problems escalate. After that, Cane was involved in the removal of Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) when a sack of the mentioned ransom was found in a cabinet at Lily and Cane's house. Sugar canal swears he's innocent and that he must be framed, but Lily refuses to believe him and he's increasingly alienated by the Winters family. A few months later, it was revealed that Joe was investing money in the closet to secure his relationship with Lily, knowing that Cane would be involved in Hilary's disappearance. Lily, who was assured by Cane that Joe was dangerous, soon ended her affair with him, and Joe was subsequently captured by Genoa City Police Chief Paul Williams and extradited back to his hometown in Chicago to face charges of framing Cane for Hilary's kidnapping.
Sage Warner
Sage Warner , played by actress Kelly Sullivan, made her first appearance on October 28, 2014. Sullivan previously played Connie Falconeri at the General Hospital . This character's debut coincides with a plot involving the return of Adam Newman (now described by Justin Hartley), after a long period of screen. Sage was first seen covered in a long scarf in the hospital chapel, after which he took the item that Adam's wife, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), leave. He then anonymously returns it to Chelsea's doorstep.
After Adam and Billy Abbott (Billy Miller) had a car accident in the forest, another man named Gabriel Bingham was killed. Sage found Adam lying in ruins, almost unrecognizable because of his wound. She takes him to Gabriel's grandmother's house, and hires a doctor to help her heal. Sage, who knew who Adam was, also hired a plastic surgeon, to make Adam die as Gabriel Bingham. Adam could die as another man to avoid law enforcement after he killed Billy's daughter in a car accident. After Constance died, the Sage later revealed that he was Gabriel's wife, that he married Gabriel on the day he died in a car accident, and that he and Adam should remain married for 3 years to receive Constance's heritage.
He meets Chelsea and Billy (Burgess Jenkins) for the first time on Delia's warning site next to the road, when he caught the eye spying on them. He did not convincingly tell them that his car had been damaged. Adam, insisting reunited with Chelsea and their son Connor, moved to Genoa City with the Sage. Posing as husband and wife, the Sage is in line with the action to ensure that no one becomes suspicious of Adam's true identity. They finally bought an apartment across the hall from Chelsea and his girlfriend, Billy. After many meetings, Sage and Adam revealed to Billy and Chelsea that their marriage is for money, not for love. He also revealed that he was infertile and therefore unable to have children, after which Adam surprisingly comforted him. Billy then invites Sage and Adam to stay at Abbott's house, when their apartment is on fire, and he suspects that Adam, disguised as Gabriel, is getting closer to his now fiancée, Chelsea.
Sage is also involved with Adam's brother, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow). He first sees him passing out near Constance's house, because he suffered much bleeding after being caught in a bear trap. After calling the ambulance, he quickly runs away. When he arrived in Genoa City, he went to Underground, which is a club owned by Nick. Nick recognized him, and thanked him for his help. As he got closer, Sage revealed to Nick that he was married to Gabriel, who was actually one of Nick's friends from boarding school. However, this did not stop the Sage from cheering him up while he was having a hard time while dealing with a prisoner case between him and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) over their daughter, Faith. Sage then reveals to him that his marriage to Gabriel is actually a marriage of comfort, and there's nothing else to it. Nick and Sage have various discussions about his "arrangement" with Gabriel, Nick believes that Sage sacrificed his life for no reason.
When Nick and Sage share a kiss in the Underground on Valentine's Day, the ceiling collapses, and Nick pushes the Sage out of the way. Both escaped without harm. Sage also meets Nick's daughter, Faith, who is not impressed with the Sage, sees it as a threat to her family. Sage, on the other hand, responds well and tries to befriend him, which turns out to be a futile effort. As Underground was being rebuilt, Sage went to visit Nick several times. Sharon eventually goes above them having sex among construction materials in the storage room. Sage then tells Adam that he saw Nick, and Adam is shocked but unhappy. However, he uses this information to seek comfort from Chelsea, making him think that he is in love with the Sage, and that he does not feel the same way.
After Adam told Chelsea that the Sage fell in love with another man, Chelsea faced the Sage and demanded an explanation. Sage told Chelsea that he has been played all this time, and that all the events that lead to "Gabriel" and Chelsea's friendship are a scam. She hinted to Chelsea that Gabriel was not the person she really thought, almost revealing her true identity. Adam and Sage meet at the Athletic Club to meet with lawyers who are in charge of giving them Constance's heritage. Sage whips out at "Gabriel" in front of a lawyer, tells him that he does not deserve an inheritance, and that he filed for divorce. He then meets Nick, telling him that he has moved and divorced Gabriel. After telling him that he is the reason why he did this, they make love in his room.
Sage marries Nick, when the truth behind Adam's true identity appears, puts a brief tension on his marriage to Nick. Sage became pregnant, giving birth to his son, Christian Newman before his time. When Christianity died suddenly in the weeks after his birth, it was revealed that Adam was the real father of Christianity, not Nick, without the knowledge of the Sage. Full of grief, Sage grows away from Nick; the couple eventually made a reconciliation and planned to adopt a child in an effort to build their family together. When their adoption plans fail, the couple agrees to eventually try adoption again. Sage then cultivated an attachment to Sharon's son, Sullivan, who was later found to actually be a Christian; facing Sharon, Sage demands her son be returned to her. When Sharon refused, the Sage left and tried to find Nick. Being distracted while driving on his cell phone, the Sage gets into a car accident; Discovered by Sharon, Sage held Christian in his arms for the last time before dying on April 29, 2016, from the injuries he suffered from the accident.
After his death, the Sage has appeared in Sharon's dream and vision, haunting Sharon to tell Nick that Sully is truly Christian.
Constance Bingham
Constance Bingham , played by Sally Kellerman, first appeared on November 13, 2014, for several episodes. The news that the Oscar-nominated actress has been casted on soap was announced on 2 October. The casting call, released in September, describes Constance as "in the 70s, a sweet and old fashion grandmother who is active and alert despite being in a wheelchair." Kellerman began recording on October 8th. He revealed that Constance will interact with several characters. This marks the first time Kellerman has appeared in a soap opera, with the veteran actress saying, "I'm really excited, I'm really, but God help me." In addition, referring to the speed of daytime drama compared to other media, Kellerman confessed: "I never thought about doing soap the previous day, not even for a moment, I kneel in adulation for the people who do this (...) I kept thinking, "How can I register for this?"
The characters appear in the storyline that helps the return of Adam Newman's character, after being overhauled by Justin Hartley. Adam has undergone excessive reconstructive surgery to look like his deceased grandson, Gabriel, and Constance believes that he is Gabriel. Actually, the real Gabriel had died a few months before saving Adam. Sage Warner (Kelly Sullivan), a woman who had lived with Constance for many years since the death of her parents, was involved in a scheme to get rid of Adam as Gabriel. Speaking of character, Kellerman said: "He is a good person, and he does not like his enemies He is part of one family, and there is another family who has a bad person in it (...) He loves his grandson and he loves Sage and Sage love him too.Sage is stuck in the middle of things, he is a character that goes with a fine line. "Constance's health worsened and he was dying. Katie Newman
Katie Newman was born on screen on November 17, 2014. Katie is the daughter of Billy Abbott (Burgess Jenkins) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). It used to be believed that Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) could be his father.
Victoria works after Maureen Russell (Meredith Baxter) locks her in a storage closet in the parking lot of Jabot . Victoria finds that Maureen, not Ben, is responsible for the death of Ben's father, Richard and Maureen want to keep him calm. By the time Ben and Billy find her, she's already in labor. Katie was born in a parking garage, delivered by Ben with Billy's help. After talking to Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria calls Billy and Ben and is anxious to find out who Katie's father is. On November 26, Victoria and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) revealed her name on the Newman Thanksgiving dinner dinner: Katherine "Katie" Newman, in honor of Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). On December 1, Victoria, Ben, and Billy learned that Billy was Katherine's biological father. Victoria and Billy decide the middle name of "Rose" in honor of Delia, who likes tea roses. Gwen Randall
Gwen Randall , played by Nadine Nicole, made her first appearance on December 3, 2014. Gwen is an accountant at Jabot Cosmetics. Early casting calls for Gwen to describe him as "Asian or Latino, and in his 20's He is an introverted accountant by day, but at sunset he's a party girl!" Soap Opera Digest reveals that the character is "conservative", but also someone who becomes "different person" at night. In response to this, Luke Kerr of Daytime Confidential wrote, "Now what does that mean? Is he a government spy, madam, vampire? There are so many possibilities." Nicole, who previously appeared on shows like CSI , 90210 and The Bold and the Beautiful , will describe Gwen repeatedly. Gwen first appears as someone Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) enlists to pretend to be Devon Hamilton's boyfriend (Bryton James). Tobias Gray
Tobias Gray , played by Jeffrey Christopher Todd in recurring capacity, made his first appearance on December 5, 2014. Tobias is an employee of Jabot Cosmetics, who works as a lab technician for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) who is developing a new fragrance. The casting call for Tobias, released in October, portrays the character as a lab technician in the mid-20s to early 30s who is "weird" but also has "cold energy, counting about him". The role is expressed as a major part, with the series looking for what they describe as "character" actors to play the role. In response, On-Air On-Soaps likens this description to the character Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) from General Hospital with "excess". Todd's announcement was announced on Nov. 3, after starting filming on October 24th. Tobias was a lab technician in Jabot, who worked for Ashley, but quickly appeared to be a spy hired by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to leak details about him about the development of Ashley's fragrance. Ashley realizes that Tobias is a spy for Victor, and gives him the wrong information about the smell. After appearing at an event at the drunken Genoa City Athletic Club, Tobias left and was involved in a fatal car accident. Before succumbing to his wounds, he managed to name Austin. The evidence involving him in the murders of both Austin and Courtney was later found in his hotel room by Kevin Fisher and Mariah Copeland. The last airdate is May 27, 2015.
