Ramblin 'Gamblin' Man is the first studio album by American rock band, Bob Seger System, released in 1969 (see 1969 in music). The original title is Tales of Lucy Blue , then the cover photo. In liner notes, Bob Seger says (cynically) he then realizes Lucy Blue is Ramblin 'Gamblin' Man, and changes the album title. He then thanked "Good Doctor" for this realization. (Doctor Fine became the one who made Seger rename the album.) The original cover design for this album featured a naked figure from Botticelli The Birth of Venus , but this was also changed for the final release.

The title track is also performed on Bob Seger and the live album Silver Bullet Band Live Bullet . Recently, it was covered by fellow artist Hideout/Capitol Records Huck Johns on his debut album Huck .
