Rosalie Anderson " Andie " MacDowell (born April 21, 1958) is an American actress and fashion model. He made his film debut in 1984 Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, before receiving critical acclaim for his role in Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), where he won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Leaders and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Moving Movie Drama.
MacDowell starred in several notable films, including the Golden Globe Award nominations at Green Card 1990 and Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), as well as Groundhog Day (1993), Short Cuts (1993), Michael (1996) and Multiplicity (1996). He also has roles in a number of less successful films, including The End of Violence (1997), The Muse (1999) and Town & amp; Country (2001).
