Early life and career

Adam Richard Wiles was born on January 17, 1984 in Dumfries, Scotland. Her parents were British, David Wiles, biochemist, and Pamela Wiles (nÃÆ' Â © e Noon), a housewife, married at Oxford before moving to the Dumfries outskirts of Georgetown. She has an older sister, Sophie, and brother, Edward. He studied at Dumfries Secondary School, and, after leaving school, he kept a shelf at a supermarket and worked at a local fish processing plant to buy DJ equipment.

He first became interested in electronic music in his teenage years and began recording a bedroom demo in 1999. When Harris was 18, he released two songs "Da Bongos" and "Brighter Days". Both were released as 12-inch club singles and CD-EP by Prima Facie label in early 2002 under the name "Stouffer". With this single to his credit, Harris moved from Scotland to London, hoping to learn from the local music scene. Only one of his songs was released during his time in London, "Let Me Know" with vocalist Dad Marar on the live-mix CD The Unabombers of 2004 Electric Soul, Vol. 2. With a lack of job and money opportunities, Harris returns to Dumfries and begins posting his homemade solo recordings to his Myspace page. Harris's popularity on social media websites created the Internet's attention that prompted Mark Gillespie, a talented booker for the Global Gathering dance festival company who just founded his own management company, to make Harris the first signing company.

Harris signed a contract with Three Six Zero Group (management), EMI (publishing) and Sony BMG (recording) in 2006 after he was found on the Myspace social networking site. Then in 2006, Harris produced a remix of the All Saints "Rock Steady" single.

Harris's debut album, I Created Disco , was released in June 2007. He began working on the album in 2006 after he moved from living in London to his hometown of Dumfries, Scotland. All 14 songs are written, produced and performed by Harris himself and all recordings and productions for the album take place on Amiga computers. Harris said that working with Minogue is "real, but fun" even though she confessed Mixmag in 2007 to "need a few drinks before meeting her". Harris also donated the song "Off & amp; On" to the album RÃÆ'³isÃÆ'n Murphy Overpowered , but was cut from the album.
