Oliver Beene is an American sitcom that aired on Fox on March 9, 2003. The show was made by Howard Gewirtz. Set in 1962 and 1963, the show recorded the trials and tribulations of Oliver Beene 11-to-12 years (played by Grant Rosenmeyer), in the perspective of the first person. Oliver Beene ' Other main characters are his parents Jerry and Charlotte Beene, his older brother Ted Beene, and his two friends Joyce and Michael. Narrator, an older Oliver who reflects on his experience, voiced by David Cross. Often in episodes, the story is interrupted by flashback and flash-forward.

Premise
Oliver (born 1951), tries to maintain normality in a family that is often unpredictable. Oliver's father, Jerry, spent his days drilling as a dentist, while his mother tried to play a traditional housewife. Oliver's brother, Ted is a sports nut and an eye basket. Oliver's life is often made more bearable with friends of Michael, Joyce and his fancied Bonnie, who appear at the most embarrassing moments. The brothers had a crush on a Swedish girl in their apartment building, Elke.

The series was first aired on March 9, 2003, as a Fox program to replace the animated series Futurama. The first season was relatively successful, and the show was back for the second season. However, the poor ratings during the second season led to the cancellation of the event in September 2004, with the last two episodes of the season left in America. (the last episode to be broadcast in the original timeslot of the show aired on 12 September 2004). In England and Ireland, Sky One broadcast both seasons, overall.
