Red Bull Racing (also known as Red Bull or RBR and competing as Aston Martin Red Bull Racing is Team Formula One racing, racing under Austrian and UK-based licenses. The team is racing under a UK license from 2005 to 2006 and has been racing under Austrian licenses since 2007. This is one of two Formula One teams owned by Red Bull GmbH drink company, the other being Scuderia Toro Rosso. The team won four consecutive Championship Constructors, in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, becoming the first Austrian licensed team to win the title. The team also won four consecutive riders championships (2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013) with Sebastian Vettel. Managed by Christian Horner since 2005, this team has been using Renault engines since 2007. Red Bull Racing started using Renault TAG Heuer-branded engines starting from the 2016 season.

Histori

Origins

The Red Bull team can now trace its origins back to the Stewart Grand Prix outfit that debuted in 1997. Jackie Stewart sold his team to Ford Motor Company in late 1999, and Ford made the decision to change the Jaguar Racing team brand, with little success next for the next five years.

Constructors and Jaguar Racing Formula One racing teams were put up for sale in September 2004 when their owner, Ford Motor Company, decided they "no longer make an attractive business case for one of its brands to compete in F1". Red Bull, the energy drink company, approved the purchase of Jaguar Racing on the last day of sale, November 15, 2004. BBC Sport reports that Ford asked the bidder for a symbolic US $ 1 in exchange for a commitment to invest US $ 400 million in the team during the three seasons of the Grand Prix. The team continued to have access to the Cosworth engine developed for their 2005 chassis, and the operation continued with a new title. Christian Horner was installed as the new Team boss and lined up David Coulthard and Christian Client to drive the team.

Red Bull Racing was not the start of Red Bull's involvement in Formula One, as they sponsored Sauber from 1995 to 2004. After forming his own Formula One team, Red Bull ended a long-term partnership with the Swiss team. The beverage company also runs a young driver program, the Red Bull Junior Team, in which Red Bull sponsors promising young drivers. Leading racers who have received this support include Enrique Bernoldi, Christian Client, Patrick Friesacher, Vitantonio Liuzzi, and Scott Speed. Red Bull also sponsors many riders and teams competing in the Formula 2 Championship, the Formula One "feeder" series.

season 2005

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz is reportedly trying to recruit former Formula One racers and heads BMW Motorsport (and fellow Austrian) Gerhard Berger to help guide the team through his debut season. However, this never materialized. For 2005, the chassis was named RB1. Red Bull Racing uses the Cosworth engine in its first year due to the ease of continuing with the engine used Jaguar Racing.

Former McLaren driver David Coulthard leads the team. Coulthard was chosen because of his experience, considered ideal to help lead the beginner team. For the second car, Red Bull shared a drive between two young drivers sponsored: Christian Klien, who drives Jaguar in 2004 and 2004 F3000 champion Vitantonio Liuzzi. It was initially announced that Clients and Liuzzi would swap driving duties every four races, but at the end of the season, Liuzzi only appeared four times.

The first year of Red Bull in Formula One was a huge success compared to their predecessor, Jaguar Racing. They are sixth in the Constructors' Championship for much of the season, only beaten by Honda Honda which quickly improved at the end of the season. In one season, they collected more points than Jaguar had in 2003 and 2004. Coulthard, after a poor 2003 and 2004 with McLaren, was a revelation for the team while the Client showed he was much better than 2004. Overall they scored 34 points; 24 for Coulthard, 9 for Clients and 1 for Liuzzi. Red Bull are consistent points and occasional podium contenders for most of their debut seasons.

American Scott Speed, who rose to American Red Bull Junior, Red Bull Driver Search, was the third driver of Red Bull Racing in 2005 for the Canadian Grand Prix and the United States. Speed appeals to Red Bull because of American nationality, which will raise the profile of both Red Bull and Formula One in America, a market where sports have traditionally struggled to make an impact.

2006 season

On April 23, 2005, the team announced an agreement to use the Ferrari engine in 2006. This coincided with a change of rules requiring the use of a V8 engine, so it is likely that both Red Bull Racing and Ferrari will use the same specification engine. Red Bull Racing continues to use Michelin tires, rather than the Bridgestones used by Ferrari.

On November 8, 2005, Red Bull Racing hunted down Adrian Newey, McLaren's highly successful engineering director.

On December 15, 2005, the team's second car, Red Bull RB2, hit the track for the first time. David Coulthard completed Silverstone circuit in England, and stated that the new car was "sexy-looking". In the initial test, Red Bull was hit by the problem of cooling and overheating of car components.

In the 2006 season opening race in Bahrain, Christian Klien escaped the eighth (in front of Giancarlo Fisichella's Renault and second BMW). Coulthard had a problem when he saw a flat tire with Nick Heidfeld, and finished 10; cooling problems back when his Ferrari engine ended on a slowing lap, forcing a grid penalty for the next race. In Malaysia, Coulthard made several places from behind the grid but was forced to retire with a hydraulic problem, while Client had an opening lap incident with Kimi RÃÆ'¤ikkÃÆ'¶nen and after pitting for improvement also retired with a hydraulic failure. Coulthard got points in Australia after Scott Speed was punished for passing him under a yellow flag. The following races are colored with low pensions and low end results.

Coulthard ranks third in Monaco, the team's first podium. Team boss Christian Horner said before the race that if one of his cars finished on the podium, he would jump into the pool on the naked track. He finally jumps into the pond wearing only a red robe. Incidentally Stewart Grand Prix and Jaguar Racing, the team's predecessors, also scored their first podium in the race.

Coulthard scored one point in Montreal, passing Jenson Button in the final stages of the race despite starting in last place due to a change of engine that ensured a grid punishment. The client also fared well, driving a second RB2 to 11th position. In the United States, the Grand Prix Client retired along with eight other cars including Toro Rosso rider Scott Speed on the first lap after a series of first bend incidents. Coulthard finished 7.

The team finished 7th in the Constructors FIA Championship, with 16 points, five points ahead of the struggling Williams team. David Coulthard (14 points) finished 13th in the drivers' standings, Clients departing (2 points) are classified in 18th position. Client Substitute, Robert Doornbos, failed to score points.

2007 season

2007 saw debut of Adrian Newey designing RB3. After a long discussion on the obligations of Red Bull Racing to continue using the Ferrari engine for 2007, the team announced on 31 August 2006 they will be using Renault engines for the 2007 season, Ferrari contract forwarded to Scuderia Toro Rosso.

The team announced on 7 August 2006 that they had signed Mark Webber to drive with David Coulthard for the 2007 season, replacing Christian Client who ended his relationship with the team. The client was replaced by Robert Doornbos for the last three races of 2006. Doornbos became the third racer of non-racing teams for 2007.

Despite qualifying in seventh place for his home race in Melbourne, Mark Webber ended in 13th place due to persistent problems with the fuel cover being closed when the pit mechanics came in to enter the fuel and when it opened remains open until the next pit stop greatly improves drag and reduces airflow in the rear wing. However, it is worse for David Coulthard, who is heavily hit with Alexander Wurz of Williams at the final stages of the race. Malaysia is more the same for Webber, while Coulthard retires with brake problems. However, in Bahrain the team showed an increase in pace and Coulthard and Webber ran 7th (with Coulthard started from behind) and 8 respectively before the reliability problems put both out of the race in quick succession. However, in testing at Barcelona Coulthard has set the fastest lap in a new circuit configuration (since being replaced by Felipe Massa). Coulthard secured the team's first point by scoring 5 with the wrong gearbox in the closing laps in Spain, while Webber was plagued with hydraulic problems over the weekend, finally retiring from the race after failing to set a competitive lap in the qualifiers. The improved performance experienced by the Catalan team has both riders and teams optimistic about their future results, with the same reliability issues focused on their already competitive speed boost.

Red Bull Racing further strengthened their technical department by hiring Geoff Willis as Technical Director on July 17, 2007.

After this, the drivers seemed to have good luck during the unpredictable and exciting European Grand Prix where Webber ended in third, his second career podium. Coulthard supported him with a powerful 5th that made it all the more memorable with the fact he started 20 on the grid after the team mistakenly kept him in the pit for too long so he could not finish another qualifying lap.

Red Bull has a strong end to the season. Webber almost won the Grand Prix in Japan, but he was involved in an accident with Sebastian Vettel. During the same race, Coulthard once again showed his ability in wet weather and finished 4th.

At the Chinese Grand Prix, Red Bull has a competitive qualifying session. Coulthard reached 5th on the grid, along with Webber at 9.

2008 season

Red Bull continued with the same racer in 2008 and had the numbers 9 and 10 on their cars after finishing 5th at the 2007 Constructors' Championship. Red Bull presented RB4 at the Jerez Circuit on January 16 and announced that SÆ' Â © bastien Buemi would be a test and their reserves for 2008 merged it with GP2 drives with the Arden International GP2 team.

After Webber retired from the opening round he went on to score 5 points in a row. David Coulthard had a more difficult start to the 2008 campaign due to poor qualification, but Canada's 3rd place gave the Red Bull their first podium since the 2007 European Grand Prix. At halfway marks, the team had recorded 24 points - equal to their total for 2007 season - and is locked in a fierce battle with Toyota and Renault for the 4th in the Constructors Championship. The team has also solved the reliability problems that have taken him the previous year.

However, when the season went, Red Bull failed to compete with their competitors. Red Bull scored only 5 points in the last 10 races, and Toro Rosso - Red Bull 'B team - has completely overhauled them at the end of the season and won the rain-affected Italian Grand Prix, becoming the team's first Red Bull-owned to win the race. This fact led many to claim that the Renault engine that powered Red Bull was less in horsepower compared to Ferrari and Mercedes engines. For the 2009 season, Renault was allowed to equalize the difference in engine power compared to their competitors after a single-year freeze in engine development from 2007.

Webber posted the top ten positions in the 107 Grand Prix at the Spanish Grand Prix. Coulthard announced his resignation from Formula One at the British Grand Prix and, despite hoping to get the home of a strong Grand Prix final, was forced to retire in the first round, which also happened in his last race in Brazil where he retired in the second corner.

season 2009

For 2009, Red Bull Racing launched their new RB5 chassis almost on February 8 using a video-generated 3D computer narrated by Sebastian Vettel. The physical launch of the car was held the next day. The team secured their first pole position in the Chinese Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel, posting the fastest time with just one qualifying lap in Q3. Mark Webber escaped third on the grid. The next day, Vettel wins, with Webber second. Vettel's victory, in a rain-wet condition, marked Red Bull Racing's first win (although the team's predecessor, Stewart GP, has won the 1999 Grand Prix from Johnny Herbert).

In the next race in Bahrain after the 3rd qualifier, Vettel took second place behind Jenson Button and collected eight other world championship points. At the Spanish Grand Prix, Webber and Vettel finished third and fourth each, after fifth and second qualifying. In Turkey, Webber and Vettel are second and third respectively. In the British Grand Prix, the car has a new upgrade and Sebastian Vettel won after qualifying in pole position, ending Jenson Button's win from four consecutive wins. The team scored another 1-2 at the German Grand Prix with Mark Webber (who scored his first win despite being awarded a previous drive-through penalty) at Sebastian Vettel's leading home. Mark Webber also won the second Formula One victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix. Complete the other 1-2 for this team was reached in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix the end of the season, this time with Vettel ending in front of Webber.

Vettel finished second in the drivers' championship with 84 points, 11 behind Jenson Button. Mark Webber finished fourth with 69.5 points. The team also ranks second in the Constructors Championship with 153.5 points, 18.5 points behind Brawn GP.

season 2010

For the 2010 season, the team retained Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, with Renault remaining the engine supplier.

In the opening round, Bahrain Grand Prix, Vettel took pole position while Webber qualified sixth. Vettel led the race until he slowed down due to spark plug failure, while two Ferraris and Lewis Hamilton overtook Vettel. Vettel finished fourth, and Webber finished eighth.

In Australia, Vettel regained pole, with Webber in second place. Vettel leads the race and once again looks ready for the race, but he reports the vibrations of one of the front wheels in his car. The problem seemed to subside, and a decision was made to keep him on track rather than pitting him. A few corners later, the problem re-attacked, and Vettel ran away from the track and then retired, due to brake failure. Webber pulls the wheels out of the line, and hands one position on the run to the first right corner. The next mistake caused him to drop some more places, and towards the end of the race he hit Hamilton, smashing his front wing. He complained to get a new one, and finished ninth, scoring two points.

In Malaysia, Webber took pole with Vettel in third. Vettel made it past Nico Rosberg and Webber before the first corner, leading for all the two-lap bars on the way to his team and the team's first win of the year. Webber led two other laps and finished second, with the team up to third in the Constructors' Championship.

The team once again scored a pole position in China, when Vettel managed to set the time faster than Webber, who completed the vanguard. Webber took over Vettel at the start, but both were defeated by Fernando Alonso, who was then awarded a penalty for the wrong start. The race was then bombarded by rain and Jenson Button did his best strategy and won the race, Vettel finished in sixth while Webber was eighth. It leaves Vettel and Webber fifth and seventh in each Drivers Championship, and the team is in third place in the Constructors Championship.

In the Spanish Grand Prix, two riders are the opposite, with Webber in pole position and Vettel second. Webber won the race without too much trouble. Vettel, however, suffered brake problems and dropped to fourth - this became third when Hamilton suffered a prick and fell from second place on the final lap.

Webber took the lead again in the Monaco Grand Prix; Vettel was third behind Renault Robert Kubica, but caught up with him at the start. Webber won the race and Vettel finished in second place. After the race, Webber led the championship after being seventh after China, with Vettel in second place (this is only with a retreat though because both drivers are at 78 points). The team leads the Constructors Championship.

At the Turkish Grand Prix, Webber again took pole position, taking the team from pole position to seven races in a row, with Vettel third on the grid. After the pit stop, Webber and Vettel run first and second until round 40, when Vettel trying to overtake Webber, which causes a collision between the two. Webber occupies the third position, while Vettel was forced to retire. Both drivers took 100% responsibility while senior team members alluded to the notion that Webber did not provide "enough room" for Vettel.

In Canada, Hamilton took pole position - the first instead of Red Bull pole this year. Webber and Vettel each finished second and third in qualifying before the pair finished fourth and fifth in the race. The team admits that it is the path the car goes through.

At the European Grand Prix in Valencia, Spain, Vettel won from pole position, leading every round of the race. Webber collided with Lotus Heikki Kovalainen, turning his Red Bull into a somersault before landing and crashing into a tire barrier.

At the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Vettel took pole position but after a poor start he got a prick and then fell to the back of the pitch, eventually finishing seventh. Webber, who started from second place, won after leading the entire race.

Vettel qualified in pole position in front of two Ferraris in Germany, but finished his home race behind the pair in third place. Webber qualified in fourth, but finished sixth behind both McLaren cars. During the controversial Felipe Massa race let Fernando Alonso pass the lead to win the race after a message from the team. Red Bull team leader Christian Horner said: "It was the most striking team sequence ever seen." He also criticized Ferrari for not letting their drivers race against each other.

At the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest, Vettel again took the lead position and lead until the safety car out. He was second behind Webber, who started the second, and was then given the drive through a penalty for exceeding ten cars the maximum distance between him and the safety car. This put him in second place and he finished third. Webber won the race after using his super-soft tires for more than half the race to build an advantage to keep him in charge after he quit. Webber won with Fernando Alonso ten seconds behind in second place.

The Belgian Grand Prix sees the pole position of Webber's claim, though McLaren and Ferrari have the advantage of straight-line speed. Initially, the anti-kiosk device in Webber's car came, dropping Australia to-5. While Vettel in the 3rd position (after the 4th start) chases after Jenson Button for second position when he collides with the Brit at the Bus Stop. After feeling the odds pass inside, Vettel tries to quickly change direction while under braking, causing the car to spear onto Button's side of McLaren. Button retired from the race, while Vettel was able to complain for improvement. He then received a drive-through penalty for his action, and suffered a rear tire puncture while attempting to overtake Vitantonio Liuzzi, finishing 15. Webber was able to take advantage of DNF Button and Alonso, as well as a mistake by Robert Kubica of Renault during his pit stop, and finish 2nd , behind Hamilton's race winner.

At the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Webber had a poor start and was in 9th place from fourth position on the grid after the first lap. Vettel has a brake binding problem for a short time, around lap 20, and he also drops the place back but then returns at speed. Webber was held back by Nico HÃÆ'¼lkenberg at the end of the race, until he graduated, and finished sixth. Vettel withstood a soft tire until the last lap, did a better lap than Webber and overtook Mark as he complained, to finish fourth.

At the Korean Grand Prix in Yeongam, Vettel gave his team a pole position to 19, while Webber started second, making him the front row of Red Bull. On lap 18, Webber spun and hit the wall, and crashed into Mercedes Nico Rosberg, causing the two drivers to retreat. Worse was coming for the team when the Vettel engine failed just 10 laps from the finish, while he took the lead, and Germany retired and handed over to Fernando Alonso in Ferrari. Red Bull has experienced its first double retirement since the 2008 Australian Grand Prix and as a result, Webber lost the championship lead and engine failure prevented Vettel from leading the championship for the first time in 2010, but the team still leads the Constructors Championship.

At the Brazil Grand Prix in Sao Paulo, Red Bull Racing became Constructors Champion for the first time after Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber completed 1-2 in the race, enough to finish in front of McLaren and Ferrari. Thus, Red Bull became the first Austrian team to win the Formula One Constructors Championship. Team boss Christian Horner stated that the main goal has been achieved and now his remaining goal is to win the Racer Championship and put the icing on Red Bull's cake. In some other teams, the drivers will be asked to change positions, with the aim of improving Mark Webber's better chance of winning the drivers' title in the last race, but the team insists that the faster riders should win races, and continue to be reluctant to give any orders from type "let your coworkers pass" to their driver.

In the final race in Abu Dhabi, Sebastian Vettel won the race and the Formula 1 Driver Championship. Red Bull ended the year with a total of 9 Grand Prix wins with five going to Sebastian Vettel and four going to Mark Webber. Red Bull claimed a total of 15 pole positions with 10 going to Vettel and five going to Webber. The team scored six fastest laps of three scored by Vettel and three scored by Webber. Horner also praised the sportsmanship of the two riders who claimed they were doing themselves in an orderly and polite way.

2011 season

Both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are retained by the team for the 2011 season, such as the Renault engine supplier. Vettel defended his world title - becoming the ninth rider to do it - having won eleven of the season races, and also reached 15 pole positions during this season, breaking Nigel Mansell's record of the 1992 season. Webber ended the season in third place in the championship, in the final race of the season in Brazil. The team also retained their respective titles, as they finished the season with 650 points in the Constructors Championship, 153 points ahead of the next closest team, McLaren. Infiniti's premium automotive brand joins Red Bull Racing as the official partner for the 2011 and 2012 seasons that sees Infiniti's logo appearing in race cars, driver overalls and team kit.

season 2012

For the 2012 season, Red Bull retained the duo Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber from three years earlier. Webber signed a one-year contract extension while Vettel continues under the current multi-year agreement, ending at the end of 2014. Vettel won the Driver Championship for the third time in a row in 2012 making him the third youngest World Champion, ahead of Ayrton Senna.

2013 season

The team changed its name to Infiniti Red Bull Racing for the 2013 season following the announcement that Infiniti's premium automotive brand has become the Title Partner and Vehicle Performance Partner of the team. Infiniti Red Bull continued with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber for the fifth consecutive season. As of 2012, Webber was signed on a one-year contract while Vettel continues to honor its current multi-year agreement.

In Australia, the first race of the season, Vettel put the new RB9 in pole position but struggled in the 3rd place finish behind title rivals 2012, Kimi RÃÆ'¤ikkÃÆ'¶nen and Fernando Alonso while teammate Webber finished sixth. In Malaysia the team went better with Vettel again putting RB9 on pole, but unlike in Australia won the race, albeit in heavy controversy. Vettel won the race after disobeying the team's orders, and so even though the results of the 1-2 races were overshadowed by Vettel's actions. In China, the third race of the season, Vettel qualified for 9th while Webber's 14th qualifier after problems with his fuel picked made him stop the car on track. Infiniti Red Bull failed to give the FIA a fuel sample of 1 liter so it puts Webber behind the grid. The appearance of his fall fits when the collision and then the wheel nuts dislodged causing Webber not to finish the race. Vettel finished in 4th position, maintaining his lead in the World Championships. In Bahrain, the fourth race of the season, Vettel qualified in second place behind Nico Rosberg. Webber qualified fifth but after a 3rd place grid penalty started the race in seventh. In the race Webber failed to improve his qualifying position that ended 7th while his teammate won the race in a dominating fashion. After the fourth race of the season, Infiniti Red Bull completed the first round of the flyaway race leading the Drivers 'and Constructors' Championship. Sebastian Vettel extends his contract with Infiniti Red Bull Racing until the end of 2015, despite an interest in racing for Ferrari and Mercedes. In the British Grand Prix, Mark Webber announced his retirement from Formula One at the end of the season, after signing a deal with Porsche at the FIA World Endurance Championship for 2014. It was then announced before the Italian Grand Prix that Daniel Ricciardo, Toro Rosso's rider, will replace Webber for the season. 2014, ending talks on Kimi RÃÆ'¤kkÆ'k¶nen from Lotus who took Webber's seat.

In the Italian Grand Prix, Vettel secured the 50th pole position of the team, and the 40th Grand Prix victory. In the Indian Grand Prix, Vettel sealed the title of the Driver Championship, and thus, won the Constructors Championship for the Infiniti Red Bull Racing for the fourth year in a row.

season 2014

Infiniti Red Bull started the season with the reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo who replaced Mark Webber after he announced in 2013 that he would move to Porsche in the World Endurance Championship for 2014.

In the Australian Grand Prix, Ricciardo managed to qualify second in his first race for the team while Vettel qualified for 13th position at least 1.8 seconds away from Polish driver Lewis Hamilton. In the race itself Ricciardo finished second while Vettel retired after just three laps due to power unit failure. However, after Ricciardo's race was disqualified for violating FIA's new rules on limiting fuel use to 100 kg per hour at each race. He lost his podium. Red Bull appealed this decision on April 14, but lost in their case.

At the Malaysian Grand Prix, Vettel escaped second while Ricciardo was fifth. On lap 49 Ricciardo had to retire due to technical failure while Vettel went on to finish third and get his first podium of the season. Ricciardo was penalized with a penalty of ten places for the Bahrain Grand Prix, due to an unsafe release by Red Bull in one of his pit stops. At the Ricciardo Grand Prix, Bahrain qualified third, but fell to 13th place due to a grid penalty ten places from the previous week. Vettel escaped 11. Ricciardo managed to finish fourth, earning his first championship points this season. Vettel finished sixth. At the Chinese Grand Prix, in poor weather conditions, Ricciardo qualified 2nd, with third qualifying Vettel. Ricciardo finished fourth again, almost 25 seconds ahead of team-mate Vettel, who finished in fifth.

Ricciardo will get the first podium of his career as a Formula One driver at the Spanish Grand Prix, after a third qualifier, more than a second behind Lewis Hamilton's rider. Vettel did not participate in Q3 because of problems with his gearbox, which eventually needed to be replaced, inflicting a penalty of five penalties. Despite starting from 15th position, Vettel successfully completed the race in 4th place, setting the fastest lap in the process. In Canada, Ricciardo won the race, reaching his first career victory in Formula One.

After the Austrian Grand Prix with poor results, including Vettel's retirement, Red Bull boss Christian Horner described Renault's engine performance as "unacceptable." He also mocked Renault in an interview with Servus TV saying that "the big difference between Mercedes and Renault is when the driver with the Mercedes engine pushes the overtake button, the car accelerates faster. When our driver, who owns the Renault engine, push the button, the car stops! "

season 2015

Daniel Ricciardo returns for the second season with the team. At the Japanese Grand Prix a year earlier, the team announced that Vettel would leave at the end of the 2014 season. He was replaced by Daniil Kvyat for 2015, who spent a season with junior team Toro Rosso.

In the Australian Grand Prix Ricciardo who qualified the 7th while Kvyat qualified the 13th. Kvyat failed to start the race due to the failure of the gearbox, while Ricciardo completed the race in sixth, one lap of the race winner, Lewis Hamilton. The team scored their best goal in Hungary, where Ricciardo and Kvyat finished 2-3. They had a chance to win one F1 race at the US Grand Prix but were crushed by some mistakes made by the drivers that allowed both Mercedes to pass them and Lewis Hamilton won the race and grabbed his third F1 World Championship.

season 2016

For 2016, Red Bull Racing uses Renault branded engines as TAG Heuer. The team announced on March 17, 2016, one day before the weekend of the Australian Grand Prix, that they have formed a new technology partnership with Aston Martin, for the new season.

At the Chinese Grand Prix, Red Bull recorded their first podium of the season with Daniil Kvyat finishing third behind Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg.

Daniil Kvyat and Max Verstappen are trading ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, with Verstappen promoted to Red Bull Racing and Kvyat back to Scuderia Toro Rosso. Verstappen eventually won the Spanish Grand Prix, becoming the youngest Grand Prix winner.

2016 is generally a stronger season for Red Bull Racing than 2015, especially after Max Verstappen replaces Daniil Kvyat. This may be because Daniel Ricciardo was pushed far more by Verstappen than he did by Kvyat, Ricciardo claimed he had learned from Verstappen's driving technique to improve as a driver. Red Bull will continue to collect podiums with Max Verstappen in Austria and Silverstone, with Daniel Ricciardo in Monaco, Budapest and in Singapore, with Verstappen and Ricciardo on the podium in Germany and Malaysia. Daniel Ricciardo garnered his fourth career victory in Malaysia after Lewis Hamilton's engine failure. Verstappen had been challenging for victory but was compromised because the early incident between Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg leading to Verstappen refers to Vettel as 'crazy'. This incident was the latest flare-up between Vettel and Max Verstappen after the two disagreed over the first corner collision in the Belgian Grand Prix which resulted in Max failing to score in a race where he started in the front row, with the exception of his team-mates. the 2nd time, and a large number of Dutch fans have traveled to see him race.

Towards the end of the Verstappen Grand Prix Brazil fell to 14 after replacing the wet tires. He then grabbed 11 remarkable places in the closing of the last 16 laps on the podium in third.

Red Bull Racing finished 2nd in the Constructors Championship that year, with Daniel Ricciardo taking 3rd place in the Driver Championships.

2017 seasons

In 2017, Red Bull Racing maintains their 2016 line-up drivers and continues to use Renault TAG Heuer-branded engines. In the first race in Australia, Ricciardo retired on lap 25, over the weekend plagued with problems for him, while Verstappen finished in fifth.

Verstappen experienced various reliability problems with the car, suffered three retirements due to engine and once due to electrical problems at the Canadian Grand Prix. He was also involved in three first-round collisions ending in retirement.

The team won three races in 2017; Ricciardo won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after starting tenth, while Verstappen won the Malaysian Grand Prix and the Mexican Grand Prix. In addition, Verstappen and Ricciardo finished second and third in the Japanese Grand Prix. In the drivers' championship, Ricciardo finished fifth with 200 points and Verstappen sixth with 168 points. The team finished third in the Constructors Championship with 368 points.

2018 seasons

Ricciardo and Verstappen are both retained by the team for the 2018 season. On September 25, 2017, it was announced that Aston Martin will be the title sponsor of Red Bull Racing from 2018.

The team suffered a double retirement at the Bahrain Grand Prix; Ricciardo retired on lap 2 with an electric problem, while Verstappen retired two laps later. Ricciardo then took his team's first win of the season in the next race, the Chinese Grand Prix, after a sixth start on the grid. During the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the two riders crashed into each other in Round 1. The team reached the podium with Verstappen, as long as the Spanish Grand Prix secured third place, while Ricciardo reached the fifth spot. At the Monaco Grand Prix, Red Bull has a fast car and Ricciardo finally scored and won the race. Meanwhile, Verstappen crashed during Free Practice 3 and started from P20 on the grid, completing the race in 9th place.

Company information

Image and marketing

Red Bull is very vocal about the desire to make the F1 'fun' again. One way they do that is by employing Mark Gallagher, who was the head of marketing for nine years in Jordan, which was an interesting brand in the late 1990s. Red Bull also started The Red Bulletin , a satirical magazine released four times per race weekend and distributed to paddock and to community members from behind the main stands on each track.

At the Monaco Grand Prix 2006, they supported the movie Superman Returns , which continued a series of marketing events started by Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith 2005 promotion (in the 2005 race , pit crews dressed as clone policemen) and Ocean's Twelve promotion of 2004 when the team ran under the banner of Jaguar Racing. When David Coulthard was third in the 2006 race, he wore Superman's robe for his performance on the podium.

Financial

Red Bull Racing has revenues of $ 285.4 million and costs $ 284.4 million in 2011. Revenue comes from prize money ($ 88.8 million), sponsorship ($ 59.7 million), and the rest from Red Bull. The costs include $ 112.8 million in research and development and $ 82.7 million in salaries for 605 employees.

Red Bull Technology

Red Bull Technology is a subsidiary set up to design, engineer and build cars for Red Bull Racing, and formerly his brother Scuderia Toro Rosso team. Red Bull technology is considered a loop hole to allow Red Bull to run two teams with the same car, which has been banned in Formula One since the 1980s. Complaints are issued to the FIA from the opposing team, but they are disposed of by the sport's governing body. Neither Red Bull Racing nor Scuderia Toro Rosso denied that they were running the same chassis, but claimed separate development programs, different machines and in their opinion that the chassis designed by both teams made it invalid.

The regulation was amended in 2010 to ban the use of identical cars among teams, and Toro Rosso no longer owns cars manufactured by Red Bull Technology. Toro Rosso is now designing and building their own car, having built the necessary infrastructure at home.

Red Bull Technology also supplies Scuderia Toro Rosso as an official gearbox supplier from 2006 to present and KERS suppliers from 2011 to present and Team Lotus - then Caterham F1 - as an official gearbox supplier from 2011 to 2014 and KERS suppliers from 2012 to 2014.

Red Bull technology uses rFactor Pro driving simulation software.

Advanced Red Bull Technology

Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is a commercial technology and engineering services division of Red Bull Racing. The company is based in the UK, in a special facility, adjacent to the Red Bull Racing Formula Racing facility.

Red Bull Advanced Technologies in collaboration with Aston Martin has developed an Aston Martin Valkyrie sports car.

Scuderia Toro Rosso

In the fall of 2005, Red Bull announced that they had bought the Formula One Minardi team, and it would be known as Scuderia Toro Rosso (Italian for Team Red Bull) from 2006 onwards. Scuderia Toro Rosso (STR) operates as a separate team, but both share certain technical resources. In 2006 STR used a chassis based on the Red Bull Racing Red Bull RB1 2005 chassis, originally designed by Jaguar Racing, and Minere contract supplies from the limited Cosworth V10 engine. Many people speculate that the 2007 chassis for both teams is essentially the same as the design of Adrian Newey, though Red Bull is careful to announce that "STR2 will be built by Red Bull Technology, and Toro Rosso will fully own the intellectual property of the car". Formula One teams are not allowed to use another team's chassis. STR has been used as the 'B' team for Red Bull Racing, allowing the company to work with more drivers. In the 2010 season this setting is banned, and STR5 is the first Toro Rosso car designed and built in-house.

In 2006, RBR racer Vitantonio Liuzzi was given a full-time seat with Scuderia Toro Rosso along with another Red Bull-sponsored racer Scott Speed. Liuzzi retained his position at STR for the 2007 season. Sebastian Vettel replaced Speed in mid-2007, and bastien Bourdais replaced Liuzzi at STR for the 2008 season. Against expectations, Toro Rosso appeared both during the 2008 season and Sebastian Vettel won the 2008 Italian Grand Prix. This means Toro Rosso really won their first win before Red Bull Racing, and helped secure Vettel with Red Bull Racing for 2009, when he also clinched the team's first win.

Fictional racing car

The Red Bull X2010, originally called Red Bull X1, is a fictitious car featured in Gran Turismo 5 video games and Gran Turismo 6 . The prototype vehicle was made to answer Kazunori Yamauchi's question: "If you build the fastest racing car on the ground, who gets rid of all the rules and regulations, what kind of car is it, how it performs, and how does it feel to drive? The vehicle was designed by Adrian Newey along with Yamauchi. It features closed-wheel and "fan elements" to improve low and medium downforce, such as Chaparral 2J.
