NASA Federal Credit Union is a credit union established on 29 September 1949 and is headquartered in Upper Marlboro, M.D. It has more than $ 2 billion in assets, and is insured by the National Credit Union Administration. Credit unions have about 150,000 members, nationwide.

Histori
The NASA Federal Credit Union was established as the NACA Washington Federal Credit Union in 1949 by a group of employees of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). Since the agency changed its name from NACA to National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), in 1958, the credit union also changed its name to NASA Washington Federal Credit Union. In 1974, they completed the name of the NASA Federal Credit Union.

NASA Federal launched the Star Trek credit card program in August 2016, in partnership with CBS and along with Star Trek's 50th anniversary. The program offers four Platinum Advantage Rewards cards including images from Starfleet Academy, United Federation of Planets, Captain's Card, and Starfleet Command. This card offers a gift of Star Trek stuff and experience. This card also offers 9.9% APR on lifetime balance transfers, same across all NASA Federal credit cards.

Community Outreach
Kids Miracle Network
Each year, NASA Federal volunteers and participate as runners, collect thousands of dollars for the Children's Miracle Network through an annual event called Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 miles away. Nearly 20,000 runners in total participated in this event.
Scholarship
NASA Federal award scholarships for DC regional high school students through the Mitchell-Beall-Rosen Memorial Scholarship. The annual program rewards talent for writing young Credit Union members who are working toward a four-year or two-year undergraduate degree or vocational studies.
The Scholarship Program was founded in 1983 to commemorate Wilfred Mitchell and later renamed in 1991 to also honor Donald Beall. Both men are former Federal Credit Union officials.
